Privacy Policy

Sync2Shoot ("we," "us," or "our") is a desktop and mobile application built for real estate photographers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the app's core features:

Google account email address — used to identify your account and link your calendar data and settings to your device.
Google OAuth refresh token — stored securely on our server so that the app can access your Google Calendar in the background without requiring you to log in repeatedly.
Google Calendar events — titles, dates, times, and locations of events on your primary Google Calendar, read to populate your shoot schedule inside the app.
Device and machine identifiers — a unique ID generated per installation, used to route push notifications and sync settings to the correct device.
iOS push notification token (if you enable notifications on iOS) — provided by Apple and stored on our server to deliver shoot reminders to your device.
In-app settings and preferences — notification toggles, reminder times, and similar preferences you configure in the Settings tab, stored on our server so they persist across devices.
Photographer notes — shoot notes you enter manually within the app (images shot, room details, processing instructions, etc.). These are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our server.

2. How We Use Your Information

To display your upcoming real estate shoots from Google Calendar.
To generate folder structures and organize photo assets for each shoot.
To send push notifications and shoot reminders to your device.
To sync your in-app settings across your registered devices.
To authenticate you with Google and keep your session active.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose beyond operating the features described above.

3. How We Store Your Information

Account data (your email, OAuth refresh token, device token, and settings) is stored on our server at notify.sync2shoot.com using Redis. Settings are automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity. Your OAuth refresh token is deleted immediately when you log out.

Photographer notes and local app data are stored only on your device using the app's local storage and are never uploaded to our server.

4. Third-Party Services

Sync2Shoot integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its features:

Google (OAuth 2.0 & Calendar API) — we request read and write access to your primary Google Calendar (to display shoots, create and edit availability slots, mark time off, and reschedule events) and basic profile information (name and email). Google's privacy policy applies to data processed through their APIs: policies.google.com/privacy.
Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — used to deliver shoot reminders to iOS devices. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

5. Data Retention

OAuth refresh token — retained until you log out of the app.
Device token & settings — automatically expire after 30 days of inactivity.
Local files & notes — retained on your device until you uninstall the app or delete them manually.

6. Your Rights

You may at any time:

Log out from the App, which immediately deletes your OAuth token, device token, and settings from our server.
Revoke Google access by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing Sync2Shoot.
Request deletion of any remaining data by emailing us at the address below.

7. Children's Privacy

Sync2Shoot is a professional tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
